Homes are less vulnerable with fire protection products

Two months back, I along with my family came to reside in the house next to the woods. So it became very important that I should get my newly furnished house equipped with latest fire protection products. I and my family wanted to live near the forest but were also aware of the perils involved in this decision. The risk from the threat of wild land fire was troubling me. I was worried about the safety of my wife and children. So I called up professionals to guide and empower me and my family about preventive measures.

We cleared all excessive fuel around our house and also created a wildfire defensible zone around the house. We crafted the roofs of the house with fire-resistant material. We removed all flammable materials such as wood or shake shingles from the house, since fire is unpredictable. I purchased some fire resistant vests; and fire extinguishers which were immediately installed in every room and backyard of the house. We planted fire-resistant ornamental shrubbery around our house. If your home's fire protection scheme is not proper and effective, fire can gain the upper hand and survival during the fire can be difficult.

A fire extinguisher is most important safety gear everywhere including commercial set ups, residential apartments, educational set ups and many more. As the name says, it is used to prevent fire. As a matter of fact, it is a compact device that combats small flames and prevents them from turning into a huge fire massacre.

Fire extinguishers are of different types- water, foam, and co2, wet chemical, for metal fires and fire dry powder extinguishers and more. Thus, as per specific requirements a device can be selected in order to get precise protection against fire during extreme conditions.

Well, being mortals we can’t totally control the major challenge of fire, but we can take preventive measures in the form of fire extinguishers.

Fire safety training- To combat fire emergency!

I still can’t forget that day! It was same day when there was a mock fire safety drill at my college and all of us were given basic fire safety training and instructed on how to use the fire extinguisher device and the importance of personal protective equipment also knows as PPE safety gears

Anyways, the session ended, I returned home and almost forgot about the system. It was mid night around 1am when I heard a peculiar sound. Gosh, someone was shouting badly, I looked outside and saw some flames coming out from the adjacent apartment. That apartment belongs to an old lady who lives alone, I rushed towards the place. And in the meanwhile I was trying to recall all the fire safety measures instructed during the session. I picked up the fire extinguisher from the corridor as well as the PPE safety gears and managed to save the lady.
